Mel’s Chocolate Fudge Brownies

My buddy Mel gave me this killer Brownie recipe yesterday and I couldn’t wait to make it! So I got my Sunday morning bake on!


250 grams of dark chocolate

250 grams of butter

400 grams of caster sugar

200 grams of cornflour

4 free range eggs

What to do:

Preheat the oven to 170c. My oven is fan forced so I have lowered the heat to 150.  Melt the chocolate and the butter. I used the microwave on the defrost setting for approx 5-6 minutes giving it a good stir half way with a spatula. Ensure the chocolate and butter is completed melted and smooth.

Fold in the caster sugar until smooth and then whisk in the eggs to make a smooth batter.

Fold in the cornflour.. this gets a little messy but hey you are almost there! Add the batter to a lined slice tin (20cm x 30cm)

Baked for approx 45 minutes. Cool in the tin and slice when cool.
