I am SO happy I decided to try something new yesterday while putting on my Corn Beef. The flavours turned out well beyond my expectations!
Ingredients:
1 kg Lean Corn Beef
1 Tablespoon of Yiah La Parisenne Dijon & Tarragon Spice Blend
1 Tablespoon of Yiah Maple Bourbon Caramelised Balsamic Vinegar
2 Tablespoons of Organic Apple Cider Vinegar
1 Fresh Bay leaf
1 Tablespoon of Brown Sugar
Enough water to cover the meat in your slow cooker
What to do:
Simply place all of the ingredients into your slow cooker. Cook on high for 5 – 6 hours. After the beef is cooked let it rest in the water for half an hour. I use a smaller slow cooker so that less water is used and it intensifies the flavours. I generally discard the water after cooking but I decided to taste a little teaspoon full out of curiosity and decided to keep the stock created and placed into takeaway containers and put into the freezer for another meal base. Keep your eye on this one! I waste nothing in my kitchen that can be used for another meal.
