Mum shared her delicious tomato sauce recipe with me recently…
Her original recipe has a bunch of fresh basil and a tbs of paprika, but on my last visit home she
made some with YIAH Products and it was amazing! Here’s the recipe with her little YIAH Twist!
This is SO good just as a homemade tomato sauce but a lovely sauce for your favourite pasta dish
800 grams of fresh Tomatoes
(you can use tinned if you don’t have fresh, but find those without the preservatives)
1 Large Onion finely diced
1 Large Bulb of fresh purple Garlic
3/4 Cup of Sugar (You can replace with raw honey)
3/4 Cup of Vinegar (I use Apple Cider)
1 Teas of Salt (Yiah Porcini)
1 Tbs of Yiah Tapenade Dip Mix
1 Tbs of Yiah Dill & Onion Dip Mix
Dice the tomatoes and place onto a baking tray. Bake at 150 degrees C until soft and place into a heavy based saucepan with all of the other ingredients. Bring to the boil and simmer for approx. an hour. Blend and bottle into hot sterilised bottles.
