I have just seasoned a chook and about to put it in the slow cooker. Place the 2 slices of onion into the bottom of the slow cooker and place the seasoned chicken on top. Cook for 1 hour on high then around 4 hours on low then into a preheated oven at 180 for about 15 mins to crisp up the skin. Works a treat and it’s one of those 5 min prep recipes you walk away and leave and it cooks itself. The chicken is so luscious and tender and falls from the bones.
Ingredients:
Whole Free Range Chicken
1 tablespoon of Thyme for Garlic spice blend
1 tablespoon of Russian for Dinner spice blend
1 Onion sliced in half
