Health and Wellness Journey

It’s all a part of the Journey….. I haven’t been doing much food blogging lately as you may have realised… I’ve been spending less time in the kitchen and a lot of time at the beach, it’s a 2 mins walk with spectacular sunsets and breathtaking views.  There’s nothing like a stroll along the beach at the end of the day, very relaxing and a great way to unwind and release any stresses during the day! We often take the fishing rods but we are yet to catch ourselves any dinner.. perhaps this is because I am too busy taking in the view.

Hours have been spent on my days off shell collecting for a mirror I am decorating. I can’t get enough of the smell of the ocean and the peace and calmness of being so close to the ocean.

Not to mention the stair climbs in the mornings! Great exercise for the legs haha..

AND check out the spectacular views of this stunning coastline!

We all need to look after our bodies as well as our minds. Apparently I burned 740 calories in my morning workout yesterday! 👏👏👏Pretty proud of myself 😊 This time last year I started out doing 15 min workouts. If you don’t exercise and you think 15 mins is nothing give it a go! It was hard! 😩 It’s amazing what you can do when you set your mind to something! Your body will give up before your mind. And to think it all started with an 8 week challenge last November and 3 simple steps each morning. I never thought in a million years that I’d finish the challenge let alone keep going! I also never imagined I’d be feeling this fabulous inside and out and actually loving exercise! 🏃‍♀️That came out of no where. Time to set a new goal and I already have something in mind 💡😉 Want to join me on an 8 Week Challenge? Sign up here and lets get you started! My next challenge begins tomorrow…. I’m finally going to take the plunge and test my endurance at the Beach Park Run! A 5km timed Run/Walk.. this will be a test for sure! Bring it on!

Ohh and not to forget to mention that my gorgeous girls (my chooks) and I have also been very busy! I’ve been spending  a lot of time in the garden. The girls love it when I let them out the back after I’ve cut the grass and they will be going to bed with a nice clean bed with hay and grass clippings. I hope I come back as someone’s spoilt chook 😂
Best of both worlds for me, having the chooks reminds me of my country upbringing and living so close to such a beautiful coastline is simply amazing. Must be time for a coldie 🥂
That’s all for now folks… it’s a gorgeous day outside and the beach is creaming out my name!
