Ingredients:
3 Cups of Plain Flour
2 Tablespoons of Olive Oil
( I have used oil from my homemade sundried tomatoes)
1 1/2 Teaspoons of Herb Salt
1 Tablespoon of Raw Honey
2 Teaspoons of Dry Yeast
1 1/4 Cups of Warm water
What to do:
Throw everything into a food processor with the dough attachment (you could also use a stand mixer with a dough attachment)
Process until combined, continue to process until the dough is soft and elastic. You can do this by hand also. Mix everything in a glass bowl, throw some flour on the bench and knead for approx. 10 minutes.
Place into a glass bowl that is greased with a teaspoon of olive oil and let it rise for 90 minutes.
It will more than double in size.
Take it out of the bowl, and onto a floured bench space and roll into a log.
Slice it into 8 even slices…
Roll them out as flat as you can..
Lay them on a baking tray… this tray is an oven proof tray with holes that I picked up at a cheap shop (The Reject Shop) for a few dollars and meant for chips and veggies for even cooking.
Cook in a preheated oven at 200 Degrees C for approx. 5 – 8 minutes, a little bit longer if you want them with more colour.
Then simply let them cool and fill them with whatever you like! I actually made a little garlic bread with some last night…. Just topped with garlic, freshly chopped parsley and freshly grated parmesan.. and under the griller! SO GOOD! Made a simple Ham, cheese and tomato for my daughters lunch.. fresh out of the oven… she was thrilled!
