Ingredients:
1 kg Bacon Bones
1 kg Ham Hock
2 Tbs of Yiah La Parisienne Dijon & Tarragon Spice Blend
1 Tbs of Yiah Country Onion & Chives Dip Mix
4 Litres of Water
500 Grams of Split Peas
2 Carrot diced
2 Large Potatoes diced
What to do:
In a large pot add the bacon bones, hock, water and Yiah La Parisienne Dijon & Tarragon Spice Blend and Yiah Country Onion & Chives Dip Mix
Bring to the boil and then simmer until the meat falls off the bones. Remove the bones and hock. Remove all the fat from the hock, any meat still left on the bacon bones and shred the meat. Set aside. Add the split peas and veggies and simmer until the peas are soft and smooth consistency.
Return the ham to the soup and simmer until thick.
